GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do you offer a trial period?

For those who need more frequent usage then it makes sense to opt for one of our membership options which are tailored to our                      members requirements and will work out considerably cheaper:

2.    MONTHLY membership is for those who need periodic documentation while being cost efficient. For only £32.99 per month (charged                 monthly in advance)you have access to all standard documents per month as well as a range of know-how articles.

3.    ANNUAL membership is almost half the price  at £204.99 for the year, payable upfront. This gives you access to the same services as                QUICK PAYG at a fraction of the price

When you book a consultation, you will be offered an initial 15 minutes consultation for free.  This is for your lawyer to discuss your matter with you and to assess it more clearly to understand exactly what legal assistance you require. If you need further assistance, they can then provide an accurate quote.

Read our FAQs to find out answers to your questions about Quick Legals.

If during your legal consultation it is decided that additional legal assistance is required, you will be provided with a quote detailing the scope of the work, any timelines and a fee quote.

If you accept, you will be sent the  quote to accept and payment is made. Your consultant lawyer will then commence with the required work.

If further assistance is required beyond the stated scope of work, your consultant lawyer will inform you of this and issue you with a revised quote.

No work will be carried out or charges made without you first confirming that you are happy with the offered quote and accepting it.

Business Questions

I have a business idea. How do I get started?

Various steps are involved:

  1. Choosing your business name.
  2. Decide on a structure.

Selecting your business name
You will need to check if the name is available by searching on the Companies House name availability checker.
Check the UK Intellectual Property Office’s Trade Marks Register to confirm that the proposed name doesn’t infringe any existing trade mark.

These searches are a quick way to check that your proposed name is not already registered and may protect you from potential name infringement issues in future.

Deciding on structure
The business structure you choose will ultimately involve weighing advantages and disadvantages of each, and then deciding on which suits you best. The structure you opt for is important as it will affect the amount of tax you and/or your business will pay, as well as eligibility for tax relief and grants.

Thinking about this, and planning which structure is best for you, will save you time and money in future as your business grows.

Documents

How are documents/contracts created on Quick Legals?

Phase 1

Initially, until our online documentation creation platform goes live, all contracts can be downloaded and completed by you electronically or by hand. Text boxes are included where specific information is required. All you need to do is:

  1. insert the required information specific to your matter; and
  2. have it signed by the parties,

and then it is a fully binding legal contract/agreement.

Phase 2

Once our online creation platform goes live, then all documents will be created by completing a very simple, point by point questionnaire. The purpose of this is to help customise the legal document to your specific requirements. Once complete, you will have a chance to review the document and make any amendments to the information you included, if required. All documents will be updated periodically, or as and when necessary due to a change in law or otherwise, by lawyers qualified in the jurisdiction and sector in question to ensure the accuracy and enforceability of the document at all times.
